What is a CBD consultation?
What is a CBD Consultation? — A CBD consultation is a brief, 15-minute meeting with Dr Jason Tally during which the two of you will discuss your ideal CBD regimen. Essentially, we will review their problem or concerns, share some general information about CBD, outline information about some of our CBD products, and then determine recommendations and dose instructions based on the information gathered. We will also follow up in four weeks to assess the client’s progress and determine the best course of action moving forward.
How Much CBD Oil Should I Take?
How much CBD oil should I take depends on many factors, including BMI, gender, activity level, consumption method, product type, and more. As such, it’s difficult to definitively suggest an ideal CBD dose. Having said that, we recommend starting with about 40 mg of CBD per day. This once-daily dose is ideal for maintaining wellness and inducing a general calming effect. However, larger individuals or those who experience substantial discomfort levels could consider consuming up to 120 mg of CBD daily.
With this in mind, remember How much CBD oil should I take? largely depends on the intent. Importantly, CBD is biphasic, which means it can create both stimulating, and regulating properties depending on dose size. Essentially, low doses of CBD seem to increase wakefulness and alertness, while high doses does the opposite. Additionally, CBD only seems to display anxiolytic properties in low doses while higher doses may exacerbate anxious feelings.
As such, you should always consider their ideal outcome when they buy new CBD products or measure appropriate doses. You should also track your mental and physical health when starting a new CBD regimen and report any concerns to your doctor immediately.
What is CBD?
What is CBD? — CBD is a non-psychoactive, non-habit-forming, plant-based cannabinoid. When ingested, CBD mimics endocannabinoids, which the body produces on-demand to help control stress and stress-related responses. Importantly, some suggest that CBD may jump-start a sluggish Endocannabinoid System, which may help explain its broad therapeutic potential.
Notably, research has yet to confirm CBD’s specific health benefits. However, both preliminary studies and anecdotal reports suggest that CBD could boost mood, minimize swelling, stimulate bone growth, and mitigate pain. Some suggest CBD might even reduce the ill effects of other psychoactive cannabinoids.
Is CBD Legal?
Importantly, CBD is the primary cannabinoid that develops in hemp-type cannabis, particularly the female flowers. Unlike THC, which is the predominant cannabinoid in marijuana-type cannabis, CBD is non-intoxicating and therefore federally legal and commercially available.
However, legal as it might be, there are still strict rules surrounding CBD discussions. Specifically, we cannot suggest that CBD is a medication because there is already an FDA-approved CBD medication on the market. However, because CBD is a key component in an FDA-approved medication, we cannot list it as a supplement, either. As such, we can only define CBD as a natural hemp element which many consumers find favorable to ingest.

Is CBD Safe?
Yes, CBD is safe to consume (as are all other elements of the hemp plant). However, CBD product safety depends more closely on its source. Where does the CBD come from? What are the product testing results?? Did the manufacturer employ ? These are all important questions to consider when asking “is CBD safe?”.
Notably, the CBD hemp industry is incredibly young, so there are few regulations in place to protect consumers from bad products. Though the FDA stipulates that hemp products can contain no more than 0.3 percent THC by weight, it does not control product quality. As such, consumers should carefully choose the best CBD product retailer, and retailers should pay extra heed to the products they provide.
